Greetings from the Humidor

Having connections in the cigar industry is paying off big time. This month’s selection features some of the hottest names and highest rated cigars in the world.

To kick off this month’s line-up, we’ve selected a cigar that is so sought after that its scarcity has made it unfamiliar to many cigar smokers. The name is Bahia by Tony Borhani. Handmade in San Jose, Costa Rica, Mr. Borhani’s Bahia line is a limited production cigar of the highest quality. The Bahia Trinidad line is the flagship line first released in December 1994, and has since gained unprecedented popularity. This month’s Elegante matches the quality of some of the world’s finest Cuban cigars.

Our second selection of the month was originally an outstanding full-bodied brand produced in Nicaragua in the 1960’s after which production was moved to Honduras. Since this time the brand has been lost amongst the hundreds of low end premium cigars. Almost 50 years later, Camacho is rejoicing. This month’s Camacho Nacionales just received a 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado Magazine’s Corona Review. Besides being a very unique tasting cigar, it’s got a price tag that’ll tickle your heart. Our prediction is that it will only be available for another month before it’s on backorder.

5 Vegas (cin-ko vegas) was originally a legendary brand founded in Cuba in 1890. Today the 5 Vegas tradition of excellence is being continued with a blend of exceptional richness in taste and aroma, not far from the original qualities vested in the 5 Vegas of the past. This month’s 5 Vegas Robusto is sure to surprise and impress with its superb balance and smooth flavors.

With a history that dates back to the height of the Great Depression, the Nat Sherman name is a classic success story. In 1930, with courage and vision, Nat Sherman opened his first tobacco shop in New York city’s garment district. Despite tough times all around, the area was the center of style, creativity, and fashion in the world’s most exciting – and demanding – city. It was there that Nat helped develop and popularize many of today’s most popular cigar shapes and blends. Today, Nat Sherman cigars prevail in over 30 countries around the world. This month’s Metropolitan Angler comes straight from their Fifth Avenue store and showroom where new cigar blends are tested and refined. One puff of this cigar displays a style and class that only comes from the heart of the illustrious Big Apple.

With golf season and the like approaching we’ve made sure to include a smoke that’ll last you more than a just a few holes. Just don’t let anyone in your party get a hold of it for too long; you may never get it back. The Royal Honduras brand was first introduced in 1996 featuring sizes named after characters in a royal court. It has been said that the royal courts enjoy a little kick to their cigars. We expect you will too. This month’s Sovereign from Honduras recently scored an 89 rating in Cigar Aficionado’s latest Churchill Review.

Happy Smoking!
