El Rey Del Mundo
Flor de LaVonda

Beautiful brown wrapper. Well constructed. Despite a rather small head ring gauge, this cigar delivers a full draw, burns even, and produces a nice white ash. Terrific flavor from the start. Creamy leather notes with coffee grinds and sweet spices.

La Unica #400 Nat. 4.5 x 50 Dominican Republic

Nicole Miller Aristocrat 6.5 x 46 Dominican Republic
Some light oils are present in the colorado-maduro wrapper of this solid cigar. It draws beautifully, burns even, and produces mounds of beautiful white ash. A rich medium to full bodied smoke that delivers musky wood, cedar, and earth flavors with a complex array of sweet spices including nutmeg and cinnamon.
Royal Jamaica Park Lane 6 x 47 Dominican Republic
This cigar’s spicy start mellows into a medium-bodied palate of musky earth and wood flavors with and tangy finish.

Greetings from the Humidor

Welcome to Spring and another fantastic month of cigars from The Cigar Renaissance. The return of the warm sun has put such big smiles on our faces that we had to treat you with the very best.

If you haven’t heard of Ashton, then you’ve certainly missed something. In fact, you’ve probably missed what is probably considered the epitome of premium cigars. Ashton cigars are manufactured without compromise, blending six tobaccos. Dominican filler and Dominican-grown, Cuban-seed binder leaves with perfect shade-grown wrapper leaves from the Connecticut Valley no doubt add to the justification of their high demand. This month’s Ashton Corona is hands down, is an absolute dream to smoke.

The pleasure will certainly not end with your Ashton. We finally were able to accumulate enough of this cigar to feature it for the first time ever. It goes by the name, El Rey Del Mundo. The name means "King of the World" in Spanish and lives up to its name with its excellent construction and strong flavor from the Honduran filler and binder, and Sumatran-seed Ecuadorian wrapper. This month’s El Rey Del Mundo Flor de Lavonda gives great flavor from it’s unique shape.

The third selection comes from a name that we’ve seen before and has actually been around longer than both El Rey Del Mundo and Ashton put together. La Unica continues to produce cigars most recognized for its mild flavor and aroma, and great construction. Unlike many other premium brands, La Unica provides excellent value by focusing less on packaging and more on the quality of their cigar. It also appears that they did not spend much money or time on coming up with creative names for their particular brands either. Nevertheless, the La Unica "#400", most recently rated 88 by Cigar Aficionado, delivers consistent, delicious flavor.

If style and fashion is your thing, or even if it’s not, you will certainly enjoy this cigar. A name most recognized in the world of haute couture fashion, Nicole Miller has produced a cigar with such style, that it’s not only worthy of it’s prestigious name, but it’s also damn tasty. Unfortunately, Nicole Miller has completed it’s limited production of these cigars. We currently have some of the remaining inventories in the U.S. at unbelievable prices. Get ‘em while they last.

If you were wondering if we had accidentally stuck a fat joint into your goodie bag this month, you’ve mistaken it for a rather unique cigar. Consistently ranked as one of the tastiest handmade cigars in the world, with an abundant variety of shapes and styles, Royal Jamaica has once again made it into our monthly lineup. But, this time we were able to come up with, what we consider to be, the pride and joy of the Royal Jamaica line. ** WARNING: Please do not light with the tissue paper on the cigar.** Once you’ve unraveled the tissue, we suggest cutting the head of the cigar as you normally would, then make a small snip in the pointed tapered end as well. Just light the tip and you will be on your way to heaven.

Happy Smoking!
